“GENERAL RATE RECEIPT. Consecutive No. 6008” from the “URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL OF HESSLE”. “RECEIVED of Mr H. Banks the sum of Three Pounds, Six Shillings and Eleven Pence, in respetc of the items entered hereon..” This thus concerns “Property Cotts. Chapel 7d[?] Assesment No. 212” The “Current Rate” was assesed to be £3 6s 11d “Less Owner’s Allowance (if any) … “ of nil, and plus “Arrears of Former Rates (if any) …” of nil and “Costs (if any) … “ also of nil. The total was thus £3 6s 11d and was paid by Cash to “H. Goods (Colletcing Officer). Mar 1st 1934” . It is authenticated with a King George V twopence stamp.
