“GENERAL RATE [RECEIPT]. No. 6067” from the “HESSLE URBAN [DISTRICT COUNCIL]”. “2nd Instalment. Property Chapel Yard. RECEIVED this 2nd day of Mar 1931 from M., H. S. Banks the sum of Four Pounds Eight Shillings and — Pence in respetc of the items entered hereon.” This thus concerns “[Assessment Number] 212” which deduced the current rate to be £4 8s.—d., “Less Owner’s Allocance (if any)… of nil, plus “Arrears (if any) viz.:…” of nil and “Costs (if any) … “, also nill. The total was thus £4 8s d. It was paid “By cash” to “H. Goods (Colletcing Officer)”. It is authenticated with a King George V twopence stamp, signed.
