Description:

“HESSLE URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL GENERAL RATE RECEIPT. No. 3266, 2nd Instalment.” This was for “Property Colts Chapel Road”.

It notes that it was “RECEIVED this 21st Day of Mar. 1930 from Mr H. S. Banks the sum of four Pounds Eight Shillings and — Pence in respetc of the items entered hereon.” These was of “Assessment Number. 212” and notes the aforementioned “Current Rate” of £4 8s --d, “Less Owner’s Allowance (if any)..” of nil, and plus “Arrears (if any) viz. : … “ of nill and “Costs (if any) … “ of also nil. The total is thus £4 8s —d and was paid “By Cash” to the “Colletcing Officer” named “T Goodes”.

The receipt is certified with a King George V two halfpenny is fair condition, but good colour and a decent watermark.
