Description:

“GENERAL RATE RECEIPT. Consecutive No. 4234” from the “URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL OF HESSLE”. “RECEIVED of Mr H. S. Banks the sum of three Pounds six Shillings and eleven Pence, in respetc of the items entered hereon.”

This thus concerns “Property Colts Chapel Rd[?].” The “Current Rate (of Assessment No. 212) is £3 6s 11d”. This is “Less Owner’s Allowance (if any)” of nil. The “Arrears of Former Rates (if any)” are nill, and the “Costs (if any)” are also nil. It was paid in cash (a total of £3 6s 11d) and colletced by “F. Goodes” (the “Colletcing Officer” on the “Sept. 6 1933.

It is stamped with a great example of a King George V twopenny.
