Description:

Brightly coloured, and embossed, “Greeting My Sister’s Birthday” card by an unknown printer, but numbered as “7524”. As it states “THIS IS A REAL PHOTOGRAPH”. It shows a vibrant cottage with the message “Dear Sister, may this little verse express All i would wish of joy and Happiness. Good health, good luck and sunny days for you To day, and all the future seasons through.”

it is addressed to. “Miss E. Tallow, Yeabridge, South Petherton, Somerset”, and the message reads “Just a P.C. to wish you many Happly Returns of the Day. Hope John is still being a good boy. Love to all. Walt & Ethel xxx”.

The card is stamped with a good condition, 1934-36 King George V penny stamp in a deep scarlet. The postmark notes that it has originated from Bridgwater in 1936, and travelled just down the road.
