Interesting copy of a very high value, two pounds and ten shillings, key type stamp from the reign of King Edward VII. Deep but pale grey-green colour and larger then standard format. Overprinted in red with “FOREIGN BILL”. Generally good condition with minimal faults to both the face and perforations. Gum is clean with some remaining. Heavy postmark and line not of particular detriment.
Blue circular stamp: ? RIVER PIL— / ? LONDON; plus heavy black [pen?] mark.
