Description:

Good condition two-and-halfpence rosy mauve with a Small Anchor watermark. From plate 1, position JC, this stamp is well centred with good margins and excellent perforations. Colour and detail is all in fine condition, with the only “let down” perhaps being the heavy postmark - a circular date stamp (CDS) from 1975, with unknown origin. The gum is clean plus the watermark doesn’t require great effort to see.
