Description:

Position HK two-and-halfpence with four margins an excellent perforations. Some discolouring to the face but the majority of detail is clear. Watermark very hard to see, but the gum is otherwise clean. Lightly hinged and annotated “141 F 6/6” by a previous owner.

The postmark is semi-clear and appears to read WINCHESTER C, and is dated July 18th, 1876. Bars appear on the left hand side of this circular date stamp (CDS) which would suggest that they should have also been a barred numeral cancel.
