Cat. Value (Adjusted Cat. value adjusted for condition:
Position LA rosy mauve two-and-halfpence with a Small Anchor watermark and white paper. Well centred with four margins. Excellent perforations with very minor faults. Good colour and detail, with a semi-heavy postmark in the bottom left quadrant. Clean gum with a hard to see, but present, watermark. Previously hinged and annotated by a ex-owner.± Postmark is a very partial four bar oval numeral cancel. The shape indicates it was used within an England and Wales office, but the office number is missing so further narrowing is impossible.
Oval barred numeral cancel: unknown
