Description:

Decent condition plate 16, two-and-halfpence stamp. Two large margins,. but not at the detriment of the other two. All detail is intact with minor wear. Some discolouration to the top perforations, but they are otherwise fine all round. The gum is clean and the watermark just visible under light. Previously hinged and annotated by a ex-owner.

The postmark is incomplete and of an unknown source. However, from what can be seen it is a duplex with a barred numeral cancel on the right. This contains a number within a circle, which thus suggests that this has been marked in a London Branch (Suburban) office.
