Cat. Value (Adjusted Cat. value adjusted for condition:
Fair example of a plate 87, position PF, with significant faults. This predominately includes damage to the face and thinning paper. Design is otherwise well centred with all four corner letters clear and obvious, with the plate number also easily readable. The perforations are decent, and the watermark generally easy to make out. The plate number has been inscribed on the back. The main draw to this specimen is likely the clean and clear watermark. It is a oval barred numeral cancel, as used in England and Wales, with the office number contained within a circle, indicating a London Branch (Suburban) office.
Oval barred numeral cancel: (75)
Large Crown (Standard)
