Superficially damaged and highly offset Penny Red from plate 106, position JF. Not a great copy, this has some fading and poor detail on the face. It has major perforation faults, and the gum is discoloured. The watermark is clear and the plate number has been inscribed on the back. ± The postmark is incomplete and only shows that it is from the West Central (WC) London District, but clearly the office number is missing given the position of the stamp.
