Decent example of a plate 99, position 28, Penny Red with good margins. The face shows good detail with the plate numbers clear and obvious. The perforations are decent with a few faults, and the gum is clean with the watermark heavily shifted towards the top left. The plate number has been written on the reverse. The postmark is excellent and shows a two-part oval numeral cancel from the South West (SW) London District, office number 28.
