Okay example of a Penny Red from plate 93, position HP. Slight rightwards offset cuts off some of the design, which is otherwise good and unblemished. The plate number, plus the watermark from the reverse, is easy to see. A previous owner has pencilled in the plate number on the gum. The perforations are good but there are some faults, including a foxed upper left corner. A nice reference example in either case. The barred cancelation postmark is faint and incomplete, but the oval shape indicates an England and Wales office.
Oval barred numeral cancel: unknown.
