Cat. Value (Adjusted Cat. value adjusted for condition:
Fine example of horizontal pair of perfinned Jubilee Issue vermillion halfpenny stamps. The face is clean, albeit slightly offset to the right. Perforations are generally good, although a few along the top edge of the right stamp are dirtied. Specimen cut off card and kept that way. The postmark obviously indicates it having been used in the Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, area on January 4th, 1894. Both elements can be taken along to indicate this. The circular date stamp is of a smaller then standard variety. The perfin is possibly incomplete.
