Cat. Value (Adjusted Cat. value adjusted for condition:
Extremely good example of a horizontal pair of Jubilee issue vermillion half-penny stamps. These have been cut of piece, and now rest on card. The stamps themselves are in fine condition with few faults, beyond their print being highly offset towards the right. The postmark shows a clean and clear duplex. Both the barred numeral cancel (285) and the circular date stamp can both indicate the Exeter office alone. Further, the cancel indicates that it was used on November the 6th, 1893. Overall very finely stamped and a great example of this type of postmark.
Oval barred numeral cancel: 285; Circular Date Stamp (CDS): EXETER / 3 N NO 6 93
