Slogan has an image of the artist plus his signature. The stamp itself is perfinned JM/&Co with a type Ia ampersand. The phosphor bands appear to be evident from looking at the face, but they do not phosphorescence under shortwave UV light (as would be expetced), nor longwave UV. Via the Postmark Society Catalogue of Slogan Postmarks of the UK vol. 3, this is given the number (General Slogan; GS) 3529 and was officially used from the 3rd to the 22nd of October, 1983. This thus appears to be a slightly late use - but not the latest which rests firmly in 1984.
